以宋代文學家王安石（1021～1086）選輯的《唐百家詩選》為本，取該書中字形瘦長秀氣如竹刻文字，其筆劃尖端似青翠真竹，故命名為「古籍真竹」。字體重心低，筆劃轉折處似竹節般強勁，又兼具柔韌筆觸，可窺得悠然自得的樣貌。適合內文和直式書寫。
